PREMA Racing aims to retain winning form
It has been an extremely successful season so far for PREMA Racing in Formula 4 competition, and with the Italian Championship ready for its first cross-border event at Spa-Francorchamps, the team is looking forward to a positive weekend, similar to the one already experienced at the Belgian venue In ADAC F4, with three wins and eight podium finishes.
The Italian season is reaching round 3 out of 7, and so far, Ferrari Driver Academy's Rafael Camâra leads the way in points with two wins to his name. However, coming from a troubled opening round at Imola, 15-year-old Kimi Antonelli delivered two wins and a second place at Misano to start closing the gap on his Brazilian teammate. He is currently standing third in points.
With two podiums, FDA Aussie James Wharton is in the top-5. Charlie Wurz is not far away, as the 16-year-old Austrian managed to set a good progression and fought for the win at the Adriatic venue. Conrad Laursen, who also had his first taste of the podium in the ADAC series at Spa, look to repeat the same result in the Italian Championship. The 16-year-old Dane posted three points finishes at Misano.
Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
"We are delighted for the performance of our drivers in the opening rounds of the season and we are really looking forward to seeing them back at Spa-Francorchamps, where we scored three wins in the German Formula 4 Championship back in April. We deeply enjoy to see them fight with each other on equal terms and manage to take wins, podium finishes and points. Antonelli and Camara won a lot of races so far but Wurz, Wharton and Laursen were all able to secure at least a podium. We hope to see them even closer to the front in an exciting and learning experience for them."
