PREMA Powerteam is set for the final round of the 2021 Formula Regional European Championship this weekend at Monza. Coming from a clean sweep in the previous event at Mugello, the Italian squad is back for the season finale with good spirits.
The high-speed northern Italian venue will see Estonian Paul Aron defend second place in points after cruising to a dominant double win in the previous round. Making consistent improvement since the middle part of the season and having made it back to the podium at Mugello, 19-year-old Spaniard David Vidales is also hoping to fight for victory again, which would end the season in the same way it had started at Imola.
Also coming from a great run of momentum, which handed him his maiden podium finish, Dino Beganovic will try to make it happen again at Monza. As always, qualifying will be key, although recovering is far from impossible, while cold temperatures and precipitations might become key additional factors.
Ralf Aron - Team Manager
"We are looking forward to Monza, and we want to complete the season on a raising note. The track presents additional challenges compared to normal, like the extreme importance of slipstreams and general timing. Even if there are passing opportunities, we must put ourselves in the best position and maximize the results from there."
