The all-rookie PREMA Powerteam Formula 4 operation is set for action this weekend at Vallelunga, in the final round of the Italian F4 Championship. After mathematically clinching the driver title with one round to go at Imola, the Italian squad will try to complete the job by securing the team title.
Minì, who became the first Italian national to win a Formula 4 Championship, will be back on track to secure more points to the cause, while all eyes will also be on a raging fight for second place among drivers. Coming from an outstanding showing at Imola with his maiden win in F4 competition, Swedish racer Dino Beganovic intends to maximize the final event of the year and bring home more silverware in the process. Although Gabriel Bortoleto is only mathematically in contention, the Brazilian already impressed this season, especially in the wet, and will give his contenders a run for their money. According to the forecasts, Vallelunga might provide him with a good showcase.
Having barely missed out on his first podium of the year at Imola, Sebastian Montoya is determined to end his debut season on a high note and to keep building momentum. Russian Kirill Smal has his sights set on a podium too. The latest addition to the PREMA Powerteam stable showed what he's capable of at Imola, and wants to put his potential to fruition in the 2020 finale.
Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
"We are impressed by how our drivers performed this season, considering that they were at their first experience in single-seater racing. They have been in contention at the front for the whole time, and having won an early title with Minì won't slow us down for sure at Vallelunga. We will do our 100 per cent to secure the team title and we hope to deliver with all drivers. For sure, fielding five cars at the highest level is demanding, but the rewards and the satisfaction clearly outweigh the effort."
