It's time to go back-to-back for PREMA Racing at Red Bull Ring. For the first time in the history of F1 and its feeder series, two events are scheduled over two consecutive weekends at the same venue, so teams and drivers of the FIA Formula 2 Championship will be in again for a unique experience.

The particular way the 2020 season was shaped by the Coronavirus pandemic is bringing new challenges. In addition, running two times at the same circuit won't mean that everything will be a continuation of round 1. With different tire choices, there will be one huge variable into account: last weekend, the teams used hard tires as the prime choice and soft as the option. This time, medium and supersoft will be mandated, making for more critical management.

Considering how hard it is to navigate through traffic at Red Bull Ring, and the impact of car trains over tire wear, being in full shape immediately will be even more pivotal in setting the tone of the whole weekend.

While the baseline set last weekend was positive enough, the Ferrari Driver Academy pairing of Mick Schumacher and Robert Shwartzman will need to keep up their efforts and try to increase the good momentum. Currently standing second in driver points, the Russian rookie has already secured his maiden F2 podium, while Schumacher showed an extremely competitive pace and is expected to be a major contender. With all the right ingredients on the table, the PREMA Racing operation is bracing for another top battle.

Rene Rosin - Team Principal

"The opening round of 2020 showed that we are clearly on the right path and there is great potential to build on. It is refreshing to be back battling at the top of the FIA Formula 2 Championship and we cannot wait to do it all again. For sure, being at the same track for the second straight weekend will be a bit unusual and certainly unique. However, the most unique experiences are also the most rewarding and valuable in terms of learning and thinking outside the box. We are looking forward to seeing Mick and Robert continue the brilliant work they started last weekend."
