It's time for the 2019 season finale for PREMA Powerteam and the Italian Formula 4 Championship at Monza. Lining-up at the high-speed northern Italian venue, the series is expected to provide an exciting ending to an already spectacular season. Monza will be the home to the final challenge for the team championship, where PREMA Powerteam is in a close fight for the lead. Scoring points in all the races will thus be key in deciding the outcome.
There will also be some dicing for the driver classification as Gianluca Petecof and Paul Aron are both in the hunt for the runner-up spot. The 17-year-old Brazilian, who won four times this season, has a good advantage over the 15-year-old Estonian, who posted eight straight points finishes, including one win and four podiums in the last eight races. While trying to catch up in overall points, Aron is aiming to seal the deal in the Rookie championship, where he has a sizable lead over his closest contender.
Danish racer Oliver Rasmussen also experienced an upturn in the last couple of events and is aiming to make gains in the championship classification while trying to bring home his first podium of the Italian season. The podium will be a goal for Alessandro Famularo too. The Venezuelan scored P3 in the Vallelunga opener and showed good potential throughout the season although he faced alternating fortunes that sometimes jeopardized his efforts.
Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
"It's good to be back racing on the legendary Monza track. There is still a lot on the table in this championship and there will be some real challenges, especially because we are expecting weather concerns. On such a difficult circuit for drivers to run, to remain as focused as possible will be paramount if we want to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves."
