With the conclusion of the German series last weekend, the PREMA Powerteam Formula 4 operation has now fully switched its focus on the final two rounds of the Italian Championship at Mugello and Monza. The legendary Tuscan venue, with its flowing fast corners and beautiful countryside setting, will welcome the teams for round 6 this weekend, and PREMA is lining-up with its four cars, fully in the hunt for the title in all classes.
Brazilian Gianluca Petecof is currently standing second in points and is looking for a consistent weekend after some ups and downs of late. The four wins scored so far by the Ferrari Driver Academy racer are there to confirm his pace, and having impressed at Mugello last season, he is waiting for the action to begin.
Currently third in overall points, Estonian Paul Aron is also sitting at the top of the rookie standings with six class wins. A total he wants to increase in the final stint of the season to add more celebration to an already remarkable maiden year in single-seaters.
Oliver Rasmussen and Alessandro Famularo are holding P11 and P12 in points respectively, but both the Dane and the Venezuelan, who faced some setbacks this season, have shown plenty of skills. Rasmussen is looking for podiums, which he already achieved in the German Series, while after scoring his maiden win at Zandvoort, Famularo focused on the Italian series and worked hard to be fighting fit for the last two outings of the year.
Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
"The two final rounds of the season will be extremely important as there is a lot still to be decided in this championship. We are currently fighting for the driver, team and rookie titles so we will need the utmost concentration to score as many points as possible. We know that, at the top of our game, our team and drivers can be outstanding competitors so we will strive to be on top throughout the whole weekend."
