It has been a scintillating weekend for PREMA Powerteam at Hungaroring, home to the third round of the 2019 Formula Regional European Championship. The Italian squad put up an unprecedented run to sweep the podium in all three races held at the Hungarian venue.
Danish racer Frederik Vesti was definitely the match-winner. The 17-year-old delivered three pole positions in the qualifying sessions and then sailed to an amazing triple win.
But it was not easy for him. In addition to the weather conditions, which proved quite draining for all the drivers due to the physically demanding car/track combination, Vesti had to defend himself at the last gasp in race 3, when a suspension part failure left him on three wheels with just a few corners to go.
British racer Olli Caldwell surely put up his best effort to give Vesti a run for his money, going for a late attack and ending up just 0.1s adrift. He was coming from a positive double third place in race 1 and 2. Last but not least, Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi was a really consistent scorer as well, with two second-place finishes and a P3 to keep himself in close pursuit in the championship.
PREMA and its driving trio will be back on-track the coming weekend at Red Bull Ring in Austria.

"It feels great and I'm really pleased with the results. We have been working extremely hard during the last two months to improve qualifying, because we were struggling a bit to put everything together. This weekend I was just very calm, and I applied what we have been working on. It all worked. The pace of the car was very quick all weekend, but the consistency of both the car and my driving has been extremely strong too. I want to thank PREMA for all the hard work in the workshop every single day to make our cars as fast as possible. I'm looking forward to going to Red Bull Ring, it's a beautiful place and a track that suits me well."

"Qualifying was OK, we were P3, P2 and P2. I think if I had managed to do a perfect lap we could have got the pole as well. The races were very physical, the most physical I've ever done. Frederik and Enzo were fast as well. I have had a bit of an issue with the starts, which we fixed. In the end, one more corner and I could have had a win with Frederik's issue. It was a good weekend for points, but I'm still not as happy as I could be."
# 74 - Enzo Fittipaldi
"I think it was a good weekend. I could have done more on my side as yesterday it was a bit messy with qualifying, which I have to work on the most now. We will see for the next race weekend. I really like the Red Bull Ring because I had three pole positions and a win last year so I'm really excited. I want to thank the team for the great car the whole weekend and to congratulate my teammate Frederik on the three wins."
