PREMA Powerteam will reach the halfway point of the Italian Formula 4 season this weekend in Hungary. The FIA entry series is again featuring a competitive pack of teams and drivers and is set for a back-to-back stint outside the national borders. This weekend, the competitors will enter their third round at Hungaroring,
Having won three races and never missed the top-5 so far, 16-year-old Brazilian Gianluca Petecof is lining-up as the championship leader but despite his good margin in points, he will face powerful contenders, starting from his teammates.
Estonian rookie Paul Aron, coming from his maiden win in the German F4 round at Red Bull Ring, is on the move and despite it will be the first time for him at the twisty Budapest venue, he wants to carry on the momentum.
Danish racer Oliver Rasmussen has a positive run of points finishes and is now sixth in standings, so he's expected to stay competitive in Hungary and aim for the podium. On the other hand, after suffering from really adverse fortunes recently, Venezuelan Alessandro Famularo hopes to finally find slightly better luck to match the potential he showed so far.
Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
"Regardless of the result, it's great for these young drivers to race at a Formula 1 venue which is also part of the F2 and F3 schedules as there will be plenty to learn from the next couple of weekends. Of course, we are coming from a successful run and we look forward to keeping the same pace even though we see many potential contenders emerging. We will keep our head down and continue to work hard to give all our four drivers the best chance to compete at the front."
