It's time. The FIA Formula 3 European Championship is set for it's grand finale this weekend at Hockenheim and PREMA Theodore Racing is looking forward to making an impression in such a unique occasion. After securing their 8th consecutive team title in the previous round at Red Bull Ring, PREMA Theodore Racing is lining-up with Mick Schumacher on top of the driver standings.
The 19-year-old German racer has a 49-point margin thanks to a stunning streak of five consecutive wins and an unrivaled total of eight victories to his name this year. To make it even more special, the round at Hockenheim will be a home race for him. To secure the title, he needs to score more points than his closest contender in at least one of the weekend's three races.
For sure, the rest of the team is determined to give him a run for his money. Lining-up third in the driver standings, 18-year-old Marcus Armstrong wants to end his impressive rookie season with a bang but will have to fend off the return of fellow Ferrari Driver Academy man Robert Shwartzman. The Russian had an excellent run of form recently, capped with his maiden series win at Red Bull Ring.
Ralf Aron is also hoping for a rebound after some recent ups and downs. The Estonian scored four wins this season and proved he can be a contender. Also hoping for a rebound, Chinese Guanyu Zhou has five podium finishes this season including one win in the series opener at Pau and wants to end 2018 on a high note.
René Rosin - Team Principal
"This weekend, it will finally be time to put everything together in order to collect the dividends for one year worth of work. Our late form has been good and we have to keep pushing in the same direction as a team. The drivers are ready, in shape and determined to take part in the battle and as always, our goal is to fight for wins."
