PREMA Powerteam endured another tough weekend in the German Formula 4 Championship as the series lined-up for the penultimate round of the season at Hockenheim. On the famous Grand Prix circuit, the team brought home a podium finish with Brazilian Gianluca Petecof, who salvaged second place in a challenging race 2. The 16-year-old driver, put up a massive recovery from the back of the pack to P6 in race 1, while a contact in race 3 forced him to content with P8 which was his third points finish of the weekend.
Estonian racer Paul Aron delivered a solid race 1, ending up fourth overall, then fought back after a difficult start in race 2. Damage contact then forced him to retire in the opening lap. Oliver Rasmussen continued to show promise, with two top-10 finishes in race 1 and 2. Unfortunately, while fighting at the front end of the pack in race 3, starting from pole position, he suffered from a puncture which sent him into a gravel trap. With one round to the end of the season, the series is now heading towards Sachsenring in two weeks.

"It wasn't the best weekend. I was struggling a bit since free practice, but I got myself together and in qualifying I had a decent run getting a fourth and a third position. The first race was quite OK from my side. I made a little mistake and ended up P4. P4 was the maximum we could get in that race so it wasn't too bad. In race 2 I stalled but the speed was good and I recovered up to P9 which was quite unlucky as I lost one position for reverse grid pole. In race 3 the start was quite ok and I was feeling really good, but then in turn 2 I was on the outside in the exit and Gianluca pushed Saucy into me so I got damage and had to stop. The positive side is that I had good pace all weekend, but sadly I lost a lot of points with some small mistakes on my side and with a contact in race 3."

"It was another challenging weekend for us, but I think we came away with positive points. Race 1 was a big recovery because of a poor qualifying 1 and a penalty from the previous round. We fought back from last to P6. We had a very good race 2 with a podium, the strongest point of the weekend. In race 3 we did another recovery from the back of the field to P8 after early contact. Quite a decent haul of points. We are aiming to get as close as possible to the front and achieve the best possible position in the championship in the last run at Sachsenring in a few weeks."

"Difficult weekend, in Race 3 I got a puncture, which ruined my chances to finish top 5. We have to learn from our mistakes to be able to bounce back harder."
