The FIA Formula 2 Championship will continue to speak French this weekend at Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, as teams and drivers go back on-track following the Monte Carlo GP event. The series is bracing for its fifth round of the season, the third on European soil, and for one of the most challenging venues in the series. PREMA Racing will be back with the combination of Mick Schumacher and Sean Gelael, aiming to finally turn the good potential seen so far in terms of speed and lap times into a good harvest of points.
In their bid to turn around an up-and-down start of 2019, the PREMA Racing pairing has set sights on the 5.8-kilometre circuit featuring a mix of low, mid and high-speed corners paired with one of the fastest straights of the calendar. The team is looking forward to a smooth weekend since the outset, so to collect the dividends of the hard work done so far.
René Rosin - Team Principal
"There's no hiding the fact that we got fewer results than what we hoped for in the first few rounds of the season, but there have been good indications that work was done in the right direction. Pace-wise we are definitely there, but some setbacks forced us to leave quite some points along the way and we clearly want to reverse that at Paul Ricard. We head into the weekend as committed and determined as ever."
