Sitting in the outskirts of beautiful Budapest, the Hungaroring circuit is set to welcome PREMA Powerteam for the third round of its Formula Regional European Championship campaign. The technical 4.3-km venue is welcoming teams and drivers of the series after two positive rounds for the PREMA colours with four wins and 10 podium finishes shared by the team's three drivers, Frederik Vesti, Olli Caldwell and Enzo Fittipaldi.
Vesti, a 17-year-old from Denmark has been impressive, scoring three wins, and is now leading the championship table in front of Brazilian Ferrari Driver Academy member Fittipaldi, while Caldwell, the youngest of the trio at 17 years of age, suffered from tough fortunes but finally got his maiden podium at Vallelunga and has the potential to carry the same momentum to Hungaroring.
The Hungaroring, a key circuit for young drivers as it's part of the classic F1, F2 and F3 schedule, will be a perfect ground for a classy summer event.
Angelo Rosin - Team Principal
"We are entering two back-to-back races which will be key in deciding the direction of the championship. So far we have been the leading force but coming to two challenging tracks like Hungaroring and, next week, Red Bull Ring, it definitely won't be easy, because our competitors will be hungry. Plus, times will be tight and mistakes quite costly. We know our drivers are very competitive and, as usual, we will give everything we have."
