PERTAMINA PREMA Theodore Racing is set to line-up for the final round of the FIA Formula 2 Championship season this weekend at Abu Dhabi. As the 2018 series is nearing conclusion, the team is determined to fight for the goals available. The Yas Marina track, one of the series classics and an iconic location for the Emirates, will provide once again a perfect frame for some spectacular racing action.
The two drivers are focused in finishing the season on a high. Dutchman Nyck De Vries is fighting for third place in driver points and has really come alive in the second part of the season. The 23-year-old racer will be joined once again by Indonesian Sean Gelael. Unlike his team-mate, the 22-year-old from Jakarta faced unexpected issues in the second part of the year, including a DNS last time around at Sochi, and is looking for a rebound.
PERTAMINA PREMA Theodore Racing is also fighting for fourth place in the team championship and will put up its best effort to safely bring home the result.
René Rosin - Team Principal
"We are ready for the final chapter of a busy 2018 season. We will line-up at Abu Dhabi determined to cap the year with a positive result reflecting our real potential. We had good results in the past at Yas Marina so we hope to keep doing a good job. Nyck has been consistent in the second part of the season and proved he can be a contender for wins at any moment. Sean also showed his true capabilities in several occasions before facing a troubled mid season stint. We want to make everything go well and enjoy our season finale before being back on track for testing next week."
