PREMA is proud to announce that the team will join the European Regional Championship with a three-car effort in 2019. Setting a new standard in junior single seaters, the team will provide drivers with a complete ladder from Formula 4 to the doorstep of Formula 1, fully embracing the path established by the FIA to support and develop young talented racers.
The series will be promoted by the Automobile Club D'Italia and will feature brand-new Tatuus racecars powered by 250-horsepower Alfa Romeo engines. A major focus will be safety, with the introduction of the Halo device as required by the FIA Formula 3 Regional rules.
The event platform will be equally interesting. Eight rounds will be held in 2019, five of which on Formula 1 venues, with a three-race weekend format. The series will provide 200.000€ prize money in addition to the super license points afforded by the FIA rules.
