It's about to be go-time for PREMA Theodore Racing at Silverstone.  As the FIA Formula 3 European Championship is entering the second half of the 2018 season, the Italian squad is lining up at the classic British venue with the lead in both driver and team championships.  The highly-challenging 5.9-kilometer circuit is set to welcome teams and drivers with cooler temperatures than in mainland Europe. In addition, rain can always be thrown into the mix as the weekend progresses providing more potential obstacles to overcome.

After five rounds and 15 races, the series is led by rookie Marcus Armstrong. The New Zealander, who recently turned 18, has two team-mates in close pursuit. Estonian racer Ralf Aron is standing third with three wins and three more podiums to his name, while Chinese Guanyu Zhou is fourth despite a nightmare weekend last time around at Spa-Francorchamps.

On the other hand,  Mick Schumacher secured his maiden win in the series at the famed Belgian track and has consistently run out front in the mid part of the season. He is followed by Robert Shwartzman. The Russian, a Ferrari Driver Academy graduate like Armstrong and Zhou, is leading the rookie classification which follows a separate points system.

René Rosin - Team Principal
"Silverstone always makes for exciting racing, and with our good historical record there, we definitely want to keep the momentum we showed in the past couple of rounds between Zandvoort and Spa-Francorchamps. As the season progresses, it will be key to avoid making mistakes and keep it clean: there are many contenders ready to seal any opportunity. It's nice to be the leaders in every department, but we can't rely on that. We need to put up our maximum effort to try and pull away."
