The coming weekend is set to be an exceedingly busy one for PERTAMINA PREMA Theodore Racing. The Italian squad will line-up for the FIA Formula 2 Championship at Hungaroring, but will also field cars in Formula 3, in Belgium, and in Formula 4, in Italy. With such a demanding triple assault ahead, the goal will be to show the team's full potential right from the start, beginning at the classic venue located on the outskirts of the capital city of Budapest.
The highly-technical circuit, known for its mid to slow corners, will provide plenty of challenges as uncertain weather is also expected. Doing well from the very beginning will be key to secure good starting positions in qualifying. The team will rely once again on its 2018 pairing consisting of Nyck De Vries and Sean Gelael.
The 23-year-old Dutchman is currently seventh in standings and is looking forward to making some gains on a track that handed him a double podium finish in 2017. On the other hand, the 21-year-old Indonesian, who experienced some adverse fortunes lately, wants to get back to the pace that led him to secure his maiden podium finish in Monte Carlo.
René Rosin - Team Principal
"We are looking forward to scoring some fine results this weekend as we have been experiencing tough luck lately. The Hungaroring is a classic and well-known track where qualifying is key in shaping up the entire weekend. We know we have what we need to be on top, we will focus and work harder than ever, hoping that lady luck will stay with us for a while too. The weather might provide some surprises but the potential is definitely there and we want to use it."
