Rounding out a challenging weekend at Hungaroring, Prema signed off with another valuable points finish in race 2 of the FIA Formula 2 Championship round in Hungary. Charles Leclerc ended up with another fourth place which enabled him to retain a 50-point margin on his closest follower in the drivers' standings. The 19-year-old racer, a graduate of the Ferrari Driver Academy, delivered a stunning comeback from the back to fourth place yesterday and then repeated the same result today in the sprint race despite a technical issue to the gearbox. In the final part of the race, Leclerc focused on defending and minimized the loss of points.

On the other hand, it was another tough day for Antonio Fuoco. The car driven by the Italian FDA rookie stalled on the grid and he only managed to take-off after one lap. On the twisty venue outside Budapest, Fuoco had no real chances for a recovery and ended up 17th.

“A very good weekend considering the conditions. We got very unlucky at the beginning, having to start race 1 from the back. Yesterday we scored P4 which is an amazing result. In race 2 we were P4 with 10 laps to the end and then a technical issue prevented us from going forward. We finished P4 with the technical issue which is great because the gearbox was very bad and I was losing a lot in the straight. It’s a big shame but at the same time it’s positive that we came back with very strong points despite the situations and the hard luck we had this weekend.”

# 2 - Antonio Fuoco
“I stalled at the start, we aren’t sure what happened exactly and we have to check the data. After that, being lapped, it was very difficult to overtake as always here at Budapest. The pace and the car in general were great and I think this is the only positive aspect of today. Now we will have some holidays and we will try to be back stronger at Spa-Francorchamps.”
