PREMA Powerteam posted two more podium finishes this weekend in the fifth round of the German Formula 4 Championship at the mighty Nürburgring. The ADAC-sanctioned weekend, which featured extremely variable weather conditions, saw a really tight pack of drivers fight on the track and, in the end, both Gianluca Petecof and Oliver Rasmussen managed to stand on the third step of the rostrum.
The Brazilian delivered a smooth run in race 1, gaining one position from his starting spot and securing good points. Unfortunately, as the rain started to fall on Sunday, he only managed a 9th place in race 2. One week after cruising to his first podium of the season with P2 at Zandvoort, 18-year-old Danish racer Rasmussen performed without a hitch in a slightly rain-delayed race 3, holding his qualifying position and making great gains in terms of the championship.
Despite not having the chance to celebrate on the podium, Estonian Paul Aron put together a really solid weekend, finishing all three races in the points despite the unpredictable conditions, minimising the chance of making mistakes and learning a lot for his future endeavours in the series.

“Definitely not our best weekend, but I think it wasn’t that bad, as I managed to finish all three races and bring home some points. In the dry, we were struggling a bit with the pace and qualifying wasn’t the best, but then in the rain, the pace was really good. In race 1 I got almost the maximum out of it, while race 2 was a bit of a bad one on my side. In race 3 I eventually took the best possible result.”

“It hasn’t been the ideal championship for us this far. Another weekend with a positive race 1 and a podium, and then a series of struggles, issues and incidents which once again prevented us from reaching our final goal. There is no reason to give up though. The only way we can be able to fight back and move forward is never letting go. Let’s try and achieve the maximum possible results in the next two rounds.”
# 10 - Oliver Rasmussen
“Good weekend again here in Nurburgring. We managed to find a good pace in tricky conditions. Work is finally being paid off with good performance. We still need to work to be able to be on top, but it’s getting exciting. Thanks a lot to Prema again for my second podium. Let’s go for it.”
