After cruising back to victory at Moscow Raceway with a sensational triple win by Esteban Ocon, which also was his first hat-trick of the season, Prema Powerteam is ready to line-up for the eight round out of 11 of the 2014 FIA F.3 European Championship. This weekend the series will be running at the Austrian Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, a village located between the Stirian hills.
Young Frenchman Esteban Ocon, making his Formula 3 debut and part of the Junior Lotus program, has won eight races so far and comfortably leads the championship with 379 points, 116 more than second-placed Max Verstappen.
Ferrari Driver Academy rookie Antonio Fuoco is also eager to continue the positive streak of top-10 finishes he started in Race 2 at Norisring and which also included two podium finishes in Moscow.
Nicholas Latifi and Dennis Van de Laar are equally looking forward to score more points as they are respectively standing in 9th place (91 points) and 14th place (32 points).
René Rosin – Team Manager
“We will remember the 2014 championship as one of the toughest and most hard-fought in European Formula 3 history. And it also has a vey busy schedule because after lining-up this weekend at Red Bull Ring we'll be back on the 15th of August at the Nürburgring. There is no time for breaks and for this reason I also think that what Ocon is doing is sensational. He's taming all the pressure in a classy fashion since the first round of the season, when he cruised to the front immediately. I also expect Fuoco to continue showing his skills in Austria like in the last few races, and the same goes for Latifi and Van de Laar, who suffered from some tough breaks throughout the season”.
